Weekly

Weekly (Oct 30) net gamma is positive but near zero: 2.5M vs 42.9M Thu and 7.3M yesterday — the pin is barely alive. Spot 80.35k sits right on the flip (80.18k) and the gamma mass at 80k; one step lower flips the week to short gamma and moves get sharper. 70k/95k walls are distant legacy stacks (95k = 20k contracts, 60% of OI above spot) — no working wall within ±5%. Max pain 78k.

The weekly book is shrinking on both sides (−370 OI: 72k/82k/64k/80k trimmed) — that's unwinding, not downside build; new OI goes into the monthly above spot (100k/90k, 60% of adds up) and the quarterly at 72–80k. Weekly charm +7.6M — sign driven by OI mass above spot.

IBIT: flip 79.2k below price, gamma/call wall 83.9k, put wall 76.9k, max pain 82.2k. Magnets diverge: BTC pulls to 78k, IBIT to 82k; IBIT's long gamma (16M) is several times BTC's weekly and dampens upside moves.

Total

Book-wide DEX 2.31B — shrinking a second day (2.41B yesterday, 3.29B Thu, 4.47B Oct 21), lowest since Oct 15: dealers' net long delta is thinning. Total flip 78.6k and max pain 78k sit below spot; vol premium regime is low — short vol pays thin.

Week ahead (beta)

Day 113. Honest check: yesterday's 76–86k range holds — 80,720 → 80,348 — but the 'fight for the flip' resolved as a slide: spot down a third day (81.9 → 80.7 → 80.3k), now resting on the flip 80.2k / 80k gamma; the 79k node untested. Oct 24 session −0.4%, quiet. Only FOMC was flagged yesterday — it's Oct 28, nothing to verify.

Base case: into Oct 30 a 75,000–85,000 range, core 78–83k — chop 78.7–82k with a downside lean: weekly gamma positive but ~zero, spot on the flip — below 80k moves sharpen and a test of the 78.7k node (score 5 fresh: book flip + gamma + max pain 78k + OI + miner cost 78.9k) becomes the base. FOMC Oct 28 is a macro event this week: vol in its hours runs multiples of normal; scale, not direction — range and strikes with a buffer. Backdrop leans heavy: day and week dominated by long liquidations (CLLD +0.67/+0.84), latest ETF day an outflow with 5d still positive, CME neutral, DEX shrinking, BTC weekly book unwinding. P(−10%) by Oct 30 ~2.6% — a flush isn't priced. Slow trend still up.

Downside caveat: Coinbase premium sank into a deep discount — US spot demand weaker than the rest of the market, the next day tends to be softer (about tomorrow, not the week). One component down, structure not against it — the downside lean firms a touch, not a directional call.

Down trigger: holding below 80k opens 78.7k and 78k; losing 78k → 76.9k (IBIT put wall, flip zone) and 75.1k (monthly put wall + quarterly max pain + MSTR cost basis, score 3 fresh, puts being built), then 70k.

Up trigger: reclaiming 81.1k (monthly max pain) and 82k (MA50 + IBIT cost basis, gamma; IBIT max pain 82.2k) opens 83.9k (IBIT call wall) and 85k (weekly OI, 5% upper band); 90k is the ceiling.

Alternative: a wick through 78k on FOMC bought back to 80k by Friday — flip, gamma and weekly median all sit there; or a pin 80–82k on the IBIT magnet. Beta.
